so many crock pot recipes call for six hours, or maybe even three or four, in the crock pot.
I always thought the point of a crock pot was to put all the ingredients in, turn it on, go off to work and come back about nine hours later to a fully cooked meal.
Six hours??? Who has a job that only lasts that short a time. And when you figure a commute into the mix, that's a five hour or so work day.
I'm thinking the best answer is that the people who figure out these recipes work in the kitchen where they're testing them, and don't quite understand the realities that govern most people's lives.
