What's for Dinner, Mon., Aug. 14, 2017

Appetizer: Chicken wings with sweet chili sauce.

Main course: BLTs from garden tomatoes on fresh bagel thins that I just got at TJs. Also some will be avocado BLTs. This will be our first BLT of the season!

And "sweet bites" from Trader Joe's for dessert.

from yesterday's observatory party, which had an island theme.

Grilled jerk chicken, pork sliders, coconut rice with peas and red beans, fruit salad (like, 10 different kinds of fruit).

Great time was had by all, but the 6 hr round trip gave me flat butt!

I'm recovering from a 20 hour work day with a 5 am arrival at home Sunday morning, so my awake hours are irregular.

A peek in the refrigerator found some cream sausage gravy that I made from some country style sausage. It was from the local grocery store that cuts its own meat. It was so lean I had to put some oil in the pan to get it cooking.

I'm having it on leftover biscuits with a small ripe tomato from the backyard and some steamed broccoli.

I also found blue berries and melon for later in there.

All of it leftovers, I just didn't feel like cooking so I'm a happy man.
