What's for Dinner, Wed., Oct., 25, 2017

We're going to the restaurant with the beautiful NYC skyline view. I'm having crab cakes. And maybe a wine spritzer.

Definitely a dessert. They have the most artistic desserts. One is three forms of chocolate, and it's composed on the plate to look like a sailing ship.

I'm going to the dairy to get whole cream and the Italian grocery store to get the fresh noodles, and I'm going to have some crusty bread with garlic butter and some kind of fresh tasting salad that I haven't decided on yet (something really simple to balance out the heavy sauce). Yum!!!

10 serving dishes on the table with spaghetti in one and pork and sauerkraut in another, chop suey in another etc. and let them each take whatever they wanted.

the flu.

So, since the poor guy feels like death, I made homemade chicken noodle soup with inoffensive veggies (carrots, peas, zucchini) and plain pasta, plus chopped chicken. I made him some banana pudding, too, as another inoffensive food.

I'm having the soup and some nuts.

I add sautéed onions, carrots and garlic to the rice. Stuff the peppers and put them into a marinara sauce. Popped into the oven for a couple of hours and then served with sour cream.
Yum!

then having about a quarter cup of mushroom soup mixed with chopped green onion and pepper. Potatoes put into a baggy and add some oil and seasoning of choice and shake around until covered. The mushroom soup mix got to sit in the fridge for awhile so flavors have melded. Yeah, to some that may sound gross but it something I came up with on my own. I am not a great cook but my Nuwave has opened a new world of cooking for me. My ex was the one who cooked and he was an absolutely great cook.
