Big storm going on here today, with wind, rain, snow, ice, and slush, changing from moment to moment. Big trees waving in the wind and the frequent sounds of sirens off in the distance.
We are having a late lunch of lamb sandwiches on fresh batards the RG got at the bakery this a.m. All the trimmings, including coriander pesto, red onion, and mayo-based sauce he mixed up to go with lamb. Celeriac salad. Spinach, made with garlic and olive oil.
Later on, if we're hungry, we'll have tortellini en brode.

(2,302 posts)Another dinner with some of daughter #2's favorites. She'll be searing the scallops and I'll roast the asparagus and throw in a couscous with pine nuts from a box.

(68,539 posts)and homemade Thousand Island dressing to dip the sandwiches. I use gluten free whole grain bread so dipping works better than putting it on the bread which tends to make it soggy. Water to drink and wine and chocolate later. Happy Friday.
