Baby arugula salad with toasted pine nuts and thinly sliced parmesan.
Roast beef stew over freshly baked cornbread. I'm putting cheddar cheese and jalapeno slices in the cornbread.
Dessert: hot mint tea and small slice of apple-pear pie.

(22,031 posts)We're celebrating St. Patrick's Day early because we're traveling this weekend.
The beef, cabbage, onion and carrots were thrown in the stew pot about an hour ago along with a bunch of herbs and spices.
Dessert is vanilla ice cream and cookies.
Did I mention that we've opened the Irish whisky?

(40,416 posts)For me, it would have been a home made burger and gourmet potato chips.
Yours seems much more yummy to the tummy. Apple pear pie sounds wonderful, too.

(16,935 posts)I had apricot ginger jam on the pancakes and honey mustard dressing on the fish. I made the slaw with Vadalia onion dressing.
I also tried shredded cheddar on the potato pancakes, but the jam tasted better.
Sounds like everyone else had really tasty dinners. Yum.
