Dessert is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and topped with walnuts.

2. Cookout, even though we are getting snow

Vegetarian burgers and dogs, homemade baked beans, cole slaw and Amish potato salad. Gotta think spring.

You could say we're having an indoor picnic --

4. Lentil Soup

Cooking some lentils with homemade chicken stock, chicken, onion and celery.

Plenty of leftovers from yesterday, ham sandwich, sweet potato or pasta/cheese/broccoli casseroles to have as well.

5. roast prime rib, mashed and gravy, asparagus

tomato, cuke, onion, feta and dill salad; deviled eggs; champagne or red wine
desert is some kind of trifle? never had a name for it. consists of three layers each crushed meringues, frozen raspberries and whipped cream and allowed to sit in fridge for a few hours. looks pretty in a clear bowl. I was informed this morning it was really good with raspberry liquor, of which I have none.

normally do ham on easter but needed to get this out of freezer and am running out of cool days to roast large chunks of meat.

I'm solo tonight but I have delicious left-overs and have no complaints!
