What's for Dinner, Sun, Apr. 8, 2018

I made a tossed green salad salad and used my mandoline for the carrots, cucumbers, and red pepper. Ruffled green leaves. Asian dressing with homemade ginger sesame seed orange dressing.

Chicken sandwich with guacamole, red onion, and turkey bacon.

Dessert: Steamed bread pudding with blackberries and whipped cream.

Slim pickings these days. Got a 5 lb. bag of potatoes for $.99 at the Grocery Outlet store that was just opened up the street abt. a week ago, too tired to peel 'em until yesterday.

No tax-bread (sp ... ) for the rich around here!

No nothing around here except for bills bills bills!

Meat was on sale or I would never have been able to afford it.

It's a cold dreary day and I don't feel like doing anything. I dropped a frozen brick of venison chili in the crock pot a while back. Sliced longhorn cheddar and crackers on the side later. Hubby plans to use his chili on a plate of nachos.

I'm solo in the country so I'll make a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato on a potato bun with baked beans and an apple for dessert.

It's usually not as much fun too eat alone.

and a grilled cheese sammitch! Did so much work in the yard today and was too tired to try to cook.

I have a one serving size of lemon gelato' for desert.

If anyone is curious the jarred Tomato basil soup made by Le Madeline' is excellent and can be bought in the grocery store!
