We couldn't get into a restaurant, so the RG went to the skyline view restaurant ordered 2 meals and brought them home:
Organic Free Range Chicken
Applewood Smoked Bacon, Braised Greens, Sweet Corn Grits,
Honey-Lemon Black Pepper Glaze
Mine must have been a special because I could not find it on the menu. It was a roasted pork leg. Spinach over polenta, which complemented it perfectly.
There were two burrata salads with baby arugula and another kind of green. It also had sunflower seeds and yellow pear tomatoes.
Dessert was a strawberry layers topped with a thin, sheer gelatin and on top of that, a square of white chocolate splashed with gold leaf.

(21,921 posts)Lightly floured and sautéed more than fried.
We have some spicy rice and left-over broccoli so that will make a nice combo. Served with lemon, parsley and homemade tartar sauce.
Orange sorbet for dessert.
Eat well this week!

(1,697 posts)with some nice butter lettuce from the Farmers Market, and sourdough bread to go with. Dessert was Strawberry Napoleons. My first attempt at pastry cream was not successful (too runny) but how can you go wrong with strawberries in season and puff pastry?
I also made lentil soup for supper tomorrow, and yesterday made Morning Glory muffins for treats at church. Kinda need a weekend to relax from my weekend ....
