tossed salad and if the weather stays cool, will do some garlic bread in the oven, otherwise ... nah!

(5,641 posts)I baked the acorn yesterday after using part of it in my pork tenderloin hash for dinner. Had homemeade chicken bone broth in the frig and made it real soupy.
I also made dumplings to cook in the extra brothy soup and they turned out fabulous!
I ate five dumplings! Medium sized. 😁

Last night we came home late with a bag of good tortilla chips in one of the grocery bags, so I made Ruth's Tuna Dip and sliced up a quick sort of large-chunk avocado/"pico de gallo" appetizer salad to make it healthy.
Today it's about 93 degrees out, but I have a craving for smothered chicken anyway. Go figure. Spices are all mixed and ready.
