Tacos! This is something we haven't had in a long time. We are using a low-carb (TJ's) soft shell taco and the RG made a spicy cabbage topping to go on top (mayo based). Used ground pork and chorizos There are also cheese slices to put on them.
As a refresher, chopped cucumbers on the side.
There are also marinated garden vegetables, such as zucchini, red and yellow peppers, cucumber, and carrot sticks.
To drink, Italian lemon soda and also sparkling water.
For dessert, low-carb chocolate pudding with chocolate chips in it. Topped with toasted walnuts.

(58,785 posts)Your reaction is such incredibly better style than my telling my husband he's grilling whatever I grab from the freezer. Made me go looking for recipes for Thai tuna salad.

(32,968 posts)I was outside, passing time w/ the neighbors. I am spoilt by them. The AC does feel good though.
My thai tuna is Thai style salad dressing-sesame oil, rice vinegar, some sugar, red pepper flakes, if I have lemongrass, some of that. In a small jar & shake till mixed, then mix W/ drained tuna. If I'm feeling fancy, I'll add in cubed cukes & red/yellow sweet peppers. Enjoy!

(17,432 posts)TJ is making them. There is coleslaw and salad things too.
FLFC has had a half of a hotdog. I don't approve, but he talked TJ into it. Hotdogs are always a four paws up. He is also Jonesing for sloppy Joe filling, but he's not allowed the sauce.

For me an experimental version of Kroger's super summer kale salad. Our local Kroger's version has almost no dressing at all, or dressing taste. What's there looks milky and probably adds a little sweetness, so I tried a German milk dressing, which seems sorta close. Kroger's flavor is about the main ingredients anyway, not spectacular but I've liked it well enough to buy a pint for a price that would fill my refrigerator with kale.
