Fanny Cradock didn't mess around.

This is kind of amazing and very retro so the gender norms are expected, so too the outrageous sets and hammed up acting.

It's still a treat and the recipe tips are pretty good.

1) so much icing sugar.
2) I dunno about icing sugar on eggs.

She is so confident/convincing you think.. "maybe I will put a ton of icing sugar on my eggs next time".

culinary sins. She'd need to serve those crepes with a side of insulin. The eggs, yuck! And those eyebrows...

On edit: I found a BBC production of her life called "Fear of Fanny." A real horror show along the lines of "Mommy Dearest." Yikes.
