half a cucumber slices, chopped fresh mint leaves, squeezes of lime. I added some salt and a dash cayenne.

It was quite good. Then I found this original Thai dessert. I'd even make it as a side dish! We're big fans of sticky rice and I use it primarily in most rice dishes.

Veetee makes a microwaveable one that is featured in the salad recipe. P.F. Chang's makes a frozen steamed Jasmine rice which I love also.

Simple and complex can both be amazing, it's more a matter of the care that goes in!

I love boeuf bourguignon, which is complicated as hell, but amazingly delicious. I also love mango sticky rice, which is dead simple! So long as the person preparing them puts all the care in the world into the dish, they'll come out amazing.

You can use any kind of coconut milk; you can use any kind of sugar - even omit the sugar entirely if you want a more savory result. A less sweet version makes a really nice breakfast.

The basic thing is sticky rice cooked in coconut milk, served with fresh ripe mango. Yum.
