Beef short ribs, cooked in the slow cooker.
Polenta with parmesan in it.
Tossed salad made with mesclun. Sliced red & green peppers, carrots, red onion, celery. I'm having chipotle ranch on mine and topping it with crispies--black bean snack crisps in mango chile lime flavor. It's gonna' be a spicy salad!
For dessert, we're having a blueberry pie from WF and topping it with a little vanilla bean gelato. I made up a pot of orange spice tea to have along with it.

(12,252 posts)a casserole of sweet potato and apple with maple butter, and steam sauteed Brussels sprouts. No dessert except a square of dark chocolate, but that's okay with me!

TJ is out and about, so I just grabbed some salad with ranch dressing. I did have a nice serving of the leftover lasagna this afternoon.

FLFC was in his cone because he has licked a spot on his abdomen until it is raw. We've put medication on it and coned him. He loves his hand feeding. He had chicken, beef, and meatballs as well as two kinds of treats.
It was a decent day out and he spent a lot of time in the yard and went on two walks with me. Outside with or without the cone is his greatest joy.
My wife is picking up a couple filets and some fixins from Ruth' Chris.

(38,526 posts)It was going to be a ground turkey shepherd's pie, but it turns out we didn't have any corn.
So I browned the ground turkey w/ onions and garlic, topped it w/ a can of mixed vegetables, topped that with mashed potatoes (no milk, so made w/ chicken stock and butter). Baked it covered in the oven and near the end, I took the cover off and sprinkled some shredded cheddar on top. Made some brown gravy to serve on top.

(5,631 posts)I guess. Started with beef stock. Added onion sliced super thin. Cooked a birds nest noodle in the broth. Then added baby portabellas cut like match sticks. Then chiffanade spinach at the end. Was tasty. Seasoned with season salt, garlic salt, pepper and a bay leaf. No soy sauce. I am out and forgot to buy...
I am using the rest of the beef stock to boil some beef bone for a beef stroganoff tomorrow.
