Lamb stew with carrots, onions, and potatoes.
We've been working in the gardens all day, so this is a slow cooker dinner that's not going to require much more work.
Cornbread with various roasted pepper and onion sauces.

(1,697 posts)but it's beef stew, with onions, celery, carrots, turnip, potato, and just a little bit of peas and green beans. One of my fellow congregants at church had both knees replaced last week, so I made a double batch. She and her family are also getting rolls, some sliced local tomatoes and cucumber with vinaigrette, and snickerdoodle bars. We'll probably have the same sides, but there were only six of the (boughten) rolls, so we'll just have the stew with our good locally made Bosnian whole wheat bread, unless I can convince one of my sons to cook some rice or noodles.

Steamed broccoli with a dab of butter.
I haven't had my afterwards yet, perhaps some sweet soft cheese and crackers or a nectarine.

FLFC has just arisen and we haven't discussed his dinner although I have a half slider and some chicken available. He is not at all interested in tuna.
