Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe

A simple and delicious recipe for this time of year! If you've got some green tomatoes on the vine that won't ripen before the frost comes, then now's the time to do something! This is a very basic recipe (with a couple of fun dipping sauces at the end), but you can obviously spice this up however you'd like. Dust them with a little cajun seasoning when they come out of the oil, or dust the tomatoes with a bit of cumin or curry powder before you bread them!

Liked your cast iron pan. Looks old.
I have a frying pan and two skillets from my grandmother's kitchen.
I'm 78, so they're REALLY old.

Enjoy your videos.

It's not super old, it's not generational cast-iron, it's only a couple of decades old. Gets a lot of use, though.

down here in Georgia. Personally, the part with mayo lost me, but to each his own. I like them plain with maybe a sprinkle of pickled pepper juice.

They're delicious on their own without any sort of dipping sauce, but we have that amazing homemade hot pepper sauce that tastes so good mixed into mayo.

Hubby's from Texas, and learned a lot of Cajun recipes, so this is a pretty down-to-basics fried green tomatoes method!
