What's for Dinner, Mon., Dec. 23, 2019

Appetizer: a spread made of mango, cilantro, crema Mexicana, capers, shallots, and finely chopped mortadella on crackers.

Herbed-garlic turkey breast roast (half a roast). Very tender.

Mixed blue, yellow, and white potatoes (the tiny kind), roasted.

Dessert: melted eggnog gelato over blueberries. Cinnamon star cookies, frosted.

This combination is strangely appealing to me. Oh, and a frosted Christmas sugar cookie baked by my sister. I am continually intrigued by your appetizers. I wonder what do they taste like? Do the ingredient combinations come to NJCher in her dreams and are all of them always delicious? 😋

Hubby works until 9PM; too much yet to do as we're hosting Christmas Eve buffet and late-night/a.m. gifting. Still baking cookies, the Dancing Deer clone of Molasses Clove variety for my daughter. Can't wait to see how close I come because she loves them!

Wonderful dinner and my small place still reeks quite pleasantly of the cooking.
