What's for Dinner, Fri., Dec. 27, 2019

Broccoli rabe, sausages, and pasta. It is one of my favorite meals. The RG will puts lots of garlic and olive oil into the cooking of the broccoli rabe. There's some crusty bread from the bakery to go with it.

Dessert: Started on the chocolate-covered apple last night. Was it ever good. I still have little left.

So tonight it's awesome leftovers! BBQ loin lamb chops, smoked turkey, fennel apple salad, Brussels sprouts, and homemade cranberry chutney. May need to bake some more GF corn muffins. Those are all gone!

Your meal sounds lovely!

Cleaning out the fridge- flank steak from a few days ago, roasted potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, and some bacon. Of course.

I cooked a bone-in turkey breast in the crock pot today. I removed the skin and seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic and ginger after rubbing with olive oil. It tastes good and is moist. The paprika gave it a nice color. It is a lot less greasy that the one I cooked with the skin on and I think this will be the way I'll do it in the future.

TJ is not feeling well, stayed home from work and is in bed with FLFC. I didn't fix the rest of dinner which was going to be collard greens and potato.

Being all by myself, I had a gigantic turkey sandwich on a sourdough roll with lots of lettuce and some mayo. I also had some bean soup.

I don't feel ambitious enough to get the remnants in a stock pot or to make gravy. I'm sure it can wait a while.
