What's for Dinner, Fri., Mar. 20, 2020

Sauteed leeks from my garden.

Codfish, which will be put under the broiler at the last minute and basted with garlic butter. Sprinkled herbs on top, probably thyme.

Salad made with baby kale, feta cheese, and blueberries. Also toasted nuts. Kale is also from my garden.

2. back ribs are in the oven

We'll have them with mac and cheese, and something green. Oh, and lemonade. We have bushels of fresh lemons from our tree. The neighbors pretend to not be home when they see us trying to give away more lemons.

4. Leftovers

Cabbage soup
Lentils
Chicken stir fry with rice

If that's not enough there's deli ham to use up in a sandwich or wrap as well as greenery and tomato for a salad.

TJ is off until next Friday, but is taking a nap with FLFC at the moment.

===============

FLFC has been outside a lot in this fine weather and seems hungrier than usual. Barking at birds is tough work.

He had a little hot dog and lots of two different kinds of soft and moist dog food which he used to ignore. He was so full he didn't even hint for a treat. Instead he burped and headed for a snooze on the couch.

Yummy and easy to make. I did not have soba noodles so I substituted angel hair pasta as that was in my pantry. Have to use what w have on hand.

7. Late for this...Chicken sandwich with tomato, spinach, Mayo and pickles on a gluten free roll.

I had leftover chicken from yesterday. I also had a handful of gluten free Snyder mustard onion pretzels...sounds bad but really good...Tomatoes on the side and an apple. for dessert I had a small gluten free brownie.
