What's for Dinner, Wed., Mar. 25, 2020

Posting early due to working at the greenhouse (ABM all by myself) this afternoon into early evening.

Cabbage rolls with bechamel sauce. The RG made them: He mixed ground pork and breakfast pork sausage for the filling. It also has garlic, parmesan cheese, sage, thyme, and garlic in it. Chopped spinach, I think, but no rice. Over the cabbage rolls he put bechamel sauce, into which he put a little of the sausage.

I made a salad which is chopped vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, radicchio, arugula, red lettuce, etc., and will be served with French dressing.

For dessert, I plan an assortment of low- or no-sugar cookies with homemade strawberry sauce to dip them in. The strawberry sauce is also low in sugar.

The refrigerator died yesterday. New one being delivered in the morning. We didn't lose too much, we have a separate freezer. As a result, leftovers + hamburger became stew for tonight. Served with cornbread and chocolate pound cake (to use up eggs).

olive oil garlic, paprika, salt and pepper. We had a fruit salad and fresh tomatoes...best tomato since last summer. For dessert I have Jr Mints, peanut butter cups or Hershey kisses...all gluten free and no corn syrup, I only eat a couple with a latte...helps me stay on WW plan...count points. We are also drinking gin and tonics with dinner.
