Brunch later. I'm planning a bit of a Sunday morning feast.

Spicy Bloody Marys to start.

Crab cake eggs Benedict on English muffins with Hollandaise sauce. Steamed asparagus on the side.

Sliced pears for dessert.

Then a nap!

first class menu, PJ. That landlady is a lucky landlady.

Meanwhile, I am living in fear because the RG has been gone for over an hour and I just know he's at the Whole Foods. Problematic* because I already have the refrigerator stuffed with kombucha.

For breakfast I had thinly sliced steak which had been marinated. Zucchini sliced on the mandoline, lightly sauteed in olive oil and garlic. Honeycrisp apple kombucha.

*not to mention having to sanitize every item purchased before it comes in the door.

6. Cleaning things before bringing them into the house

This is part of shopping that is almost impossible to solve. We've tried to wipe everything with Clorox wipes but it seems nearly impossible to completely keep things from becoming contaminated. There are just too many facets to keep track of!

Not only do you have to clean things bought at the store, but then you have to clean your re-usable bags, too!

Then there's the mail...

cleaning everything the RG bought at the store. I use soap and water and a big stack of towels. I am just finishing a load of towels in the dryer that I washed after drying everything. It is weird washing things like freezer bag packages. The water takes off some of the labeling.

The mail. Wow, I just stick it away and after a certain date open it with plastic gloves. I give the virus plenty of time to die before reading mail, but still use gloves.

It is very tedious, but I do all this washing. I think we're doing well with everything at our house. We all have gloves, masks, and we rarely go out.

Long, long lines to get into grocery stores this morning, too. I would do my shopping at night, but for whatever reason, he decided to shop today.

one of your Bloody Mary’s (is the apostrophe correct? Need coffee). Just had coffee; still can’t answer my question. Highlight of my day: feeding two dogs and two cats. Later highlight: finish watching Bodyguard on Netflix. 😊
