What's for Dinner, Fri., April 10, 2020

Chicken breasts bone-in, seasoned with cumin, coriander, garlic, onion, paprika, onion, tomato, thyme, rosemary, olive oil, and a few others from the RG's new shipment of seasonings. Over the top, slices of preserved lemon.

Lentils.

Cornbread.

Roasted cauliflower (sliced florets), also sprinkled with new seasonings, on a plate with crackers, butter, and black and green olives.

Tossed red and green salad with various raw vegetables such as red onion, carrots, etc. Honey-mustard dressing.

No dessert tonight, but after-dinner tea.

The weather today has been weird and has changed a couple of dozen times. We had snow, rain, sunshine and high wind gusts. However, our grill is in a protected corner of the deck.

Grilled boneless pork chops marinated in olive oil, cumin, garlic, rosemary, crushed tomatoes and black pepper along with a splash of Texas Pete Hot Sauce.

Grilled corn on the cob. I use a method I learned in Boy Scouts many years ago. Shuck the corn, slather butter on it, season with salt and pepper and wrap it in aluminum foil. Toss them on the grill (or a campfire) and turn them every five minutes or so.

Grilled asparagus and red bell pepper to round out the meal.

Apples and cheddar cheese with red wine for dessert.

with yummy sauce. I sauteed some onion, garlic, pepper, yellow squash & zucchini to put in sauce & cooked some hot Italian sausage.

Yummy!

7. Odds and ends

Mug of coffee
Chicken Frank with onions and brown mustard
A tiny serving of baked beans (I'm not supposed to have all that sugar)
Green Beans with garlic butter

Not enough ... I will be foraging further ... lots of options

==========

TJ is just off to work at the medical center so FLFC is singing the blues again. We worry about the germs there.

He had some of the chicken frank and some minute steak. I offer a green bean which he licked and discarded. Tonight he didn't seem very hungry. Some days he eats a lot and others not much.

Huh? He just came back and politely tapped my leg because now he's hungry again.
