I think I have enough to last that long. I found a few packages in my freezer that's past the expiration that I'm hoping are still good. I've got neighbors and relatives I'm making bread for. I just hope I can still get flour. I've got a couple of bags left, but that won't last long if I keep everyone stocked with loaves.

Doubly so because it appears it is the manufacturer itself (Fleischmanns) that is is the seller.

About the only thing I can get is King Arthur flour and even that is intermittent. Fine by me as that's what I want anyway.

Two 5lb bags of King Arthur bread flour at a decent price. But this item requires shipping fee. I got it anyway since other places are pricier or out. Not the organic, btw. But it's fine.

I'd been trying to order any kind of bread flour for weeks from my local supermarket but no dice. My cousin scored a bag of KA yesterday at her local store. Hopefully it's a sign that better times are around the corner.

I got both the regular and the fast rising kinds. I’m going to make homemade bagels. My friend made some that looked delicious in the picture she messaged me.

I hear daily about all the shortages in OK, including yeast. The small neighborhood hispanic mkt has filled my wish list every time. I have 6 large jars in the freezer now. I paid 3.29 for 5lbs of flour there. So as not to run them short, we buy one package each time we shop (@every 2 weeks).

The price gougers were getting 9$ when I looked a couple of weeks ago, now its more than doubled. I'll be damned if I'll buy yeast from those rotten profiteers. The other problem is flour, which now also costs a fortune, and I don't have enough to make bread even if I had yeast.

The Romans used "bread and circuses", distributing free food and staging huge grotesque spectacles, to distract the restless populous from their economic decline and social upheaval.

Parallels can be drawn between today's historic events and the way the old Roman Republic was replaced by the new Roman Empire. The Senate devolved into feckless yes men, the first consul became an emperor, all because of bread shortages.

I shopped the past month or so. (about once per week or 10 days) last Friday they did have the 25 (50?) lb cloth sacks of Blue Bird, but I wasn't sure I had anyplace to store it. Freezer is a mess, I really need to work on it.

Executive from the Kroger Super Market Chain was on TV this morning talking about what is selling best for the stay-at-homes. Yeast was #4. APF was not far behind. Seems everybody is baking bread.

I use yeast often, making French bread and pizza dough. Guess I will treasure the yeast I have on hand, must be as precious as toilet paper.

I was able to get a 50 lb sack of flour from a baking supply company. My grocery store has started to sell weighed bags of flour from bulk sources.

Consumer packing plants may be over capacity but I don’t think we have an actual shortage of flour.

I just did a quick Amazon search and found 2 lbs of Red Star active dry yeast for 6.99. I found 1 lb of another brand for less than $5. I paid less than $20 for mine with shipping.
