What did Alton Brown know and when did he know it?

I just watched Aton Brown’s sourdough episode, which had been on my DVR since last fall. The premise of this episode is that a worldwide pandemic causes a shortage of packaged yeast. The pandemic on the show was accompanied by maps eerily like what we’re seeing on the news now.

What really worries me is that Alton Brown’s pandemic was followed by a failed drug test and a zombie apocalypse.

I got to visit him down there once, too. Got invited to eat at the fine dining restaurant and felt like a big celebrity, because my hubby got to come out and serve me (they really love putting on a big show for friends and family).

My son got to do some amazing Internships too! He was at Per Se in New York City under Chef Thomas Keller...and at Ojai Resort north of Los Angeles. .final month in France...Now that school embraces the culinary needs of their students...Then, the community...they always rally around the Culinary Program...I would go there 2-3 times a year ...I miss it now...He is in Toronto now at Cafe Boulud

He was up at Herbs/Soho Bistro up at Yonge/Lawrence for his first internship, then down at the excellent Brennan's of Houston for his second. He owned his own place in Cabbagetown for a couple of years, but neither of us are in the culinary sphere any more except for the YouTube channel now

The restaurant industry is tough enough, but I feel awful for all of the service industry workers who are going to lose their jobs through all of this.

Like most episodes could have resulted in a failed drug test - at least for the writers
