..dinner in June..couldn't go out bc pandemic; son usually treats me to breakfast..so instead made dinner invited my 85+ yr old parents--nothing special planned bc never been a great cook so says my..well my entire familia--when they have something and they always do--a party for every occassion and non occassion...they tell me--just bring some chips!
My son did bring a cake from some wholefood market..cream cheese frosting fruit on top--Been watching lots of cooking shows.. Mediterranean cuisine intrigues me-- ha, son says nothing rubbed off on me. Que chistoso [funny guy! I say. Should be a comedian!
Perhaps when pandeimc is safer I can take a cooking class--he says. I said better yet, a mediterranean cruise would be mas suave, cool. Ay-a woman can dream, que no? Right? Son looks at me--rolls his eyes in front of my parents who have been blessed to travel extensively--at your age, alone with strangers..ha ha. I exclaimed--Basta! Enough! No more mom jokes--well at least cake was good.

Homemade lasagna, shrimp bisque, caesar salad with real bacon and blueberry pie. The same every year except this one. My little dog died and I am grieving and depressed (definitely don't feel like celebrating anything this year).

On a good note, I am seeing a LOT of Doug Jones signs when I am in Baldwin Co. I doubt he will carry it, but it sure makes me smile to see them.
