What's for Dinner, Tues., Nov. 24, 2020

The RG went to the Polish deli for TG goodies. He also made a few items. There is:

Appetizer: ham, sausages and various pates with mayo (Polish) and mustard. Bread also came from Polish deli.

Then:

--pork schnitzel
--2 kinds of sauerkraut
--linguini with mushroom sauce

For dessert, a crepe with pear in the middle and brandy hard sauce on the top. I'm looking forward to having this with my spicy chai tea.

Also Polish chocolates. Chocolate with creme filling.

Everyone has deserted me and gone to bed

Leftovers again

Pasta casserole with tomato sauce from the garden, so far. Beef and cheeses are a part of it.

I'm thinking I'd like some fruit next.
There are grapes, bananas, clementines, and apples.

It’s gonna be home fries, and then I make a rue to lob on top of the re-warmed turkey, making a fantastic gravy (flour, beef drippings, water, cumin, salt, white pepper, a little black pepper, MSG, and cilantro) generously poured over both the turkey and the fries. It’s gonna look terrible, but it will taste great. Broccoli and Fuji apple slices for sides.

P.S. Those who do not regularly cook with white pepper are missing out.

We have to clean out the fridge! So tonight is going to be a foraging feast of things that have no connection to one another. We just hate to throw away food.

For the Thanksgiving weekend, we're going to hide out in our NYC apartment. We're packing a cooler with all the food and beverages we'll need so hopefully, we'll be able to walk in and close the door behind us. I miss the city.

With plain yogurt, basil, and mozzarella. Done in 3 minutes. Just me because Mr. Bayard ate earlier.

it was supposed to be omelet night, but I recently decided to cut back on dairy, both to help my weight-loss quest and to see if it made my digestion better (it did). So hubby got the cheese omelet, home fries, bacon, and toast, but I just scrambled mine and finished up the bacon.

Two eggs over easy, bacon, toast with butter and apricot preserves, diced tomatoes, and coffee.
Just had a navel orange for dessert/midnight snack.
There is a little bit of bacon leftover, in case I need a second midnight snack.
