Enjoy. This is the most satisfying, most relaxing, beautiful and motivating channel on youtube.
Discovered it a year ago. Please give it a try. Maybe she's been mentioned here, but wanted to share, in case.
Zi Liqi went home to help her grandparents on their farm (they raised her). She can grow and cook anything. She takes care of her grandmother. It is so heartwarming. Also, her skills are unparalleled.
This is the Life of Corn. But the choices of topics are endless. The comments are people around the world. If I'm ever feeling down, I watch a video.
But it makes me hungry! [link:

(12,409 posts)Living on an organic farm and growing much of our own food I am overwhelmed by her talents. She makes what is truly very hard work look like pure zen meditation.
It is mostly my grand children who I wish to pass her knowledge and inspiration to.
I find myself grinning like a fool throughout every video. But sometimes near tears too @ the beauty of the setting, her strength, her knowledge and skill. The hard work, you are right. She projects graceful pixie.
How nice you have a farm!
And the grandmother! Spent part of my childhood on my grandmother's farm. And own land adjacent now. (No structure on it, but someday). If i could capture one-eight of my grandmothers skills would feel accomplished! It's a goal.
I found this to be a balm, all year.

(111,140 posts)She does a lot of food history videos and her "Hard Times" series is wonderful, a foray through both Depression cooking and some recipes from other people having hard times, like the clay cookies made in Haiti. She's also dipped a toe into Civil War cooking.
Her failed experiment making 1000 year old eggs is hilarious!

(1,200 posts)I actually love depression cooking tutorials.
So cute! And easy to listen to.
Never had this coffee. My grandmother made dandelion salads.
She had chicory based coffees too.
