4. Freon would dissipate as a gas.

Besides, there's not that much freon in a fridge. If there was a leak of any kind, your fridge would be dead.

Yeah, most likely a clogged defrost drain which you could probably clear yourself. If not that, maybe the icemaker is leaking.

7. Self defrost feature most likely

When the freezer is in defrost mode water must drain through a small opening in the lowest spot of the bottom freezer shelf. There is a tube that connects this hole to a drip pan under the heating element of the fridge (the heat from the fridge motor evaporates the water, which is pretty ingenious IMO). Over time, this hose can get clogged with regular freezer item gunk -- crumbs, etc. -- and instead of finding its way to the drip pan, it accumulates in the lower selves of the fridge (usually the produce bins) until it overflows onto your kitchen floor.

Depending on your model, you may be able to clear the tube yourself. Check Google, YouTube, etc. for self-help videos. Good luck.
