and tho I don't want to bore you with the day to day development, today I saw 6 little LEAVES!

Its not from a cutting, but from Heirloom's 'own-root' rose, sent to MD from Oregon. A few inches 'tall,' I received it a few days ago and then planted it. Will place it in a spot somewhat protected from weather for the winter, and transplant to larger pot back around where it is now in the spring (I think.) Suggestions appreciated.
