Should I pluck the flowers from Thai Basil the same way I would with Sweet Italian Basil?

I am growing them in my front porch planters this year, with some sweet potato vine and some petunias. So far, it has worked out beautifully, but I am not sure about the pretty purple flowers on my Thai Basil.

1. all basil will bush out more if you pluck the flowers...sprinkle them on salads or just add

to your stir fries or recipes...also good to leave a few since bees love them so!

2. It doesn't make the basil go bitter?

I know that's what happens with sweet basil...it's not the same for thai?

3. I don't find that it does that at all to sweet basil - not in my experience, anyway.

I pinch all my basils all summer long and they are just fine.
