A natural poison ivy eradication?

I just bought a house in the midwest, and see poison ivy creeping up the garage. Is there an organic method to get rid of it?

2. I've heard vinegar and salt will work. They are natural, if not organic.

3. Goats

I "borrowed" 2 from a co-worker. They cleared out poison ivy and blackberry bushes (wild ones) very nicely. Just don't let them get near landscaping plants you want to keep.

5. Just make sure you don't handle the dead ivy without protection after you have killed it.

The poisonous oil is still in those dried up and dead looking stalks.

Good luck. We never had much luck around here with organic methods, but I hope they work for you.
