Cucumbers

I've just made up a box with 32 cucumbers from my garden all set to go to the food bank tomorrow. And, two gallon-sized ziploc bags full of fresh green beans!

The cukes I anticipated would be a bumper crop, but the beans, wow. Considering there's only half a row of them in my garden, they have really yielded so much!

They really appreciate fresh produce at the food bank, we took some of our garden bounty to them last year, too.

Feels good to be able to help out..... even in a small way .....

I am so jealous... The deer strip everything out of the ground here. 10 foot fefncing is required and I'm not up to building my own wall. LOL

a double fence ..... first layer coated wire, second layer chicken wire (some little rabbits were getting in through the coated wire). Plus, my whole back yard is fenced all around because we have a dog. So, unless the rabbits figure out how to pole vault, it's pretty secure.
It's all my industrious hubby's doings. I just harvest it.

Its a third the size I've planted previously, and still having trouble keeping up. Gave the guy that cuts my grass 3 grocery bags full earlier of cucumbers, squash, green beans, and okra. He has a ton of grandchildren that live with him.
