So I live in zone 7a and didn't cut back my Big Daddy Hydrangea

which is a macro hydrangea because the past two years, it has always just died back by itself and it was so little that I wanted to make sure he loved his spot.

This year, I am noticing that I should have pruned it back a bit or it's going to be leggy and not bushy. I don't know if I can do this now...I don't want to shock Big Daddy. lol

Any advice?

1. Hydrangeas are pretty forgiving. Try to cut while moon is waxing (New Moon until Full Moon) if you

want growth. There's tons of info about everything gardening on YouTube.
