Sweetie was rescued at Hearts United. When we got her she had a broken leg and spirit. After years, she finally has picked up this habit from our two boys.

Sweetie's rescue made the ASPCA of the week story: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3581271
How she looked at the vet with me last month. I was so glad it was a pulled muscle, not something serious.
We have 2 rats and a mixed 35 LB terrier. All three are rescues.
Dug was the worst. He was abandoned when his owner moved out. NO food or water. It was luck the landlord checked the property right away. Two fosters homes gave up on him. He had no place to go.
You can also see my Ed Schultz coffee cup. Dug on my lap.
Luka is brat #3.

(3,547 posts)3. From the link in your reply:
Now, nearly two years later, Sweetie Darling runs the house andher proud mom informs usshes earned the nickname "the Duchess." She barks imperiously at us to move the cat so she can sleep on the couch, says Marta, and if she somehow gets out from under the covers in the middle of the night, she barks for someone to cover her again. Since were completely under her spell, we do what she commands!
Oh my how I can relate! Our Billy runs this house. His nickname ought to be "Bossy." But I think most terriers have that in common.
Glad Sweetie is doing fine now! Thanks for sharing the back story. And thanks also for the awesome pics!
She is BEAUTIFUL and I can just tell you are a proud "papa".
U is a good hoomin.
