Cats aren’t the only pets that get stuck in trees.

Just ask the firefighters who rescued a Great Dane from a high bough in rural Louisville, Nebraska, late Saturday night.

“You’re not going to believe this,” one Plattsmouth firefighter said to another after receiving the call for help about 10:10 p.m. “They said there’s a 125-pound Great Dane stuck 20 feet up in a tree.”

They weren’t the first in disbelief.

are. I actually put an extra 5 pounds on her so she could not climb. When I first got her, Icould not let her in the yard, I Would Have to pull her off the trees when she started climbing. I have centuries old oaks and the lowest branch can be 40 feet in the air.

I have no idea how a great dane could do that, none at all. that extra 5 pounds kept my dog from climbing.
