I have no idea why.

Lately we have been taking him to a self serve car wash that has a dog wash station, it's seems to mitigate the spastic behavior after the bath because he is on the leash.

In the past Brock and all the other beagles we have had would jump out of the tub after their bath and run outside and start doing laps around the yard interspersed with with back flops where they would wiggle back and forth. Ultimately we had to lock them inside until they were mostly dry to keep them from flopping around in dirt and grass in the back yard.

until dry, or it completely defeats the purpose of bathing them in the first place...lol

It appears one thing they do right away is shake really hard, then throw themselves down so their cheeks rub against the carpet, and run along on the side of their faces, and ears, like they are trying to wipe off their mouths, then they're off to the races.

When they get that carried away, it almost tells you all's forgiven for giving them the dreaded bath. It could be they are celebrating the fact they lived through another one!
