This is my senior dog's motto (our other dog basically just will take what he can get). As in, if it's on the floor we don't get it back and neither does our other dog get to share. Obviously if it's toxic or dangerous we intervene, but at 16 if we lose a piece of pizza or french fry she deserves it.
Well of course she is smart because she's 16 and she has learned some stuff. Today I set my coffee and almond biscotti down on the tv tray and settled in for a comfy session of internet browsing. Then I see out of the corner of my eye, Jazz nudging the tv tray...she managed to knock off ONLY the biscotti (and my tv tray is littered with random crap) which she seized happily. Just gave me the look of "you know the rules...on the floor it's mine"
Seriously - how can you argue with that? Kinda like with cats - if it fits I sits

(3,702 posts)I mean I have had regular destructive dogs who just plow through everything and hope they get something good. But she is very selective in what she wants and how she gets it. Smarty pants
