Related: About this forumI figured out why the kittens are getting up on the dresser @5:30 am. Birds!
& knocking stuff off.
I was picking up todays floor slapped stuff, and in one direction I could see a birds nest not 20 feet from the window.
So, I took everything slappable off, I don't care if they watch birds, but cleaning it up tomorrow after learning this, that is dumb human.😀😼

(115,681 posts)One of the basic duties of a cat is to do regular gravity tests. They worry that you might not have paid your gravity bill, so they have to keep checking.

(130,865 posts)I noticed birds @ 5:30 some years ago. Glad I don't have kittens to add to the wake-up call!

(32,969 posts)I need to look into some kind of window sling/bench so the 2 of them can watch at the same time. Now they are small, but that is time limited.

(15,805 posts)There's so much to see. Lots of trees with everything moving in the breeze, the occasional blowing leaf, their goggie sniffing around, fly by bugs, and visiting birds that jump around and sing. When I open the window for them, they sniff like crazy, their little noses taking it all in. They love it!
like live TV for cats. We have had a few cats that would look out the windows on occasion, but the cat we adopted last year absolutely loves looking outside! Many times, especially after dark, we hear slap the window like she is trying to get a bug on the outside. Kind of a rude awaking when we are sleeping.

(32,969 posts)I slept till 8.30, woke to them in the window, my sweet old man Majik on the pillow next to me. I am sure the kits will find a new way to be nawtee, but today it was good.

Couple months ago I changed my boys' feeding routine from free-feeding to a measured amount 2x day, at the suggestion of the vet after they were weighed at annual checkup. We HAD a nice self-filling, filtered watering dish that Charlie proceeded to knock over the day after we changed the food routine. We got the message after coming home to a wet kitchen floor twice and got a weighted water dish that can't be capsized.
