We've got a heat warning!

For all of Southern Ontario. Toronto has opened seven cooling centres to the public!

Man is it hot!

I really worry about my dogs when it gets like this. Keeping my two boys indoors as much as possible....

A/C is running on high.

I'm putting lots of ice cubes in their water bowls.

off and wet their paws. Their paws feel to dry to them in the heat. Also make sure to put a large bucket of water outside you keep changed and keep an eye on. Sometimes dogs will knock their water over. And they must have breezy shade. You probably know all this.

across the street.

I'm in an apartment.

Mostly, they're on the nice green grass with plenty of shade from the trees.

But...the pavement here is damn near hot enough to cook an egg on. For sure.

for 5 seconds and if it's too hot for your hand, it's TOO HOT for puppers feet/toes.
