Related: About this forumSurgery update:
Aside from a difficult morning where my neighbor came screaming at my front door to "shut my dog up" who had been outside for ten minutes doing her morning thang.... the surgery was a success!
They were able to remove most of all the tumor, some of it was near some arteries that they were concerned about so they left a very small amount. Vet says it should be just a quarter size and should not bother her any longer!
She had a small blood pressure spike this afternoon so they medicated her and are just allowing her to rest. Hopefully if no other issues arise tonight I should be able to pick her up tomorrow afternoon. It'll be several weeks before we are able to go on our daily walks again but my Vet says she's a trooper and should have no lasting effects!!
Thank you so very much to everyone who donated and had good thoughts! I am beyond greatful for your help and love!

(4,033 posts)So glad to hear that all is going well! With all that is going on elsewhere in the news, the small victories sometimes are the best. Hugs to you her!

(17,037 posts)I bought her a new cone, the comfort one. She hates it. I've just been putting it on her at night or when I am not around to watch her.
Today my neighbor is gonna stop by and check on her a few times. She's been eating and drinking and slowly getting back to herself.
Thank you for checking on her! I just cannot wait until we get her back to daily walks. She loves that!
