Majik is not doing well.

We have an appointment tomorrow morning. I have hopes, but will make the best choice for him. He is the last one of the original catpack, who got here in September 2002, as an 8 week old kitten with his momcat Mojo. He was chosen for Angel Duke a senior Golden Retriever, who dearly missed his kitten from Dukes foster home. After a big sniff & hiss, it was an interspecies love story that lasted for 2 years.
Majik has been hiding for the last day, coming out to eat a bit, drink some & fuss at me, in depth, then back under the bed.
Paw prints on my heart.

2. The best to Majik tomorrow. Will some extra special food draw him out for a bit of time together?

Take care. I have an elderly cat. Same here, he is the last of my cat pack .

We do what we have to do for our pets, and so many times the decision is not easy. They give us their trust, unconditional love, and so much more. They become a piece of our hearts.

And must make the self sacrificial decision to send him on.... in a great and terrible act of unselfless love, know that it's a noble thing - a brave and privileged thing that he trusts only you to do. You're his chosen one. You are his god. And you will be wise and benevolent (like you are here, on DU).

I know the angst and agony of this time for you. My heart breaks, and it says I love you, irisblue.

I wish comfort, peace and strength for both of you. I'm glad he has a home where he is loved and cared for. My heart goes out to you.
