Laying here on floor with our domestic wolf pack. Golden retriever and Newfie and chocolate lab. My wife says they need to lay with the pack leader , I smiled at her saying this only reason I said is because I had cheese and crackers earlier ok man share. I tossed a blanket on the golden as he and I share a pillow. the chocolate land shark is laying on his back snoring letting it all hang out. And the Newfie is cuddled between the golden and me with his big head on my hip. I just love these boys the dogs there love and family.

She loved it so much I haven't had the heart to move back upstairs! LOL
A few months ago our golden had hip troubles we slept on air bed in front of fire place.

(46,881 posts)My two 6 lb Maltese doggies are on their blankets next to me, eating tiny rawhide sticks.
Fire blazing.
Life is good.
Came to bed to read and the golden was like wait Im going with you. I told my wife dont stay up late as the Newfie drifted in like fifteen minutes later. Because room and space is at a premium when these two stretch out I have heard her saying move over to the dogs climbing into bed.

(46,881 posts)And I think my two 6 lb dogs take up space and are a handful!
And take up too much room on the couch.
My little one, he is really 5 lbs, is a huge personalty and is always in your face.
We used to have a golden, we loved her so much, she was so sweet and good natured.
My 5 lb Maltese takes up more space than she did.

(46,881 posts)company in a small space. Yikes on having only a queen.
But if you got bigger bed, the dogs would still insist on being right next to you.
When our golden was a puppy, she sat on my lap all the time.
Then she got big, she and I weighed the same amount. (I'm small.)
She still tried to get up on my lap and sit down, but I didn't have enough lap and
she would fall off.
As of now I have the golden in my back and the Newfie up against my hips. They need to touch us and No personal space and all three of these guys think they are lap dogs.

(988 posts)My kids bring them every day for me to dog sit--God forbid they should have to stay home alone! (I have been chastised for leaving them alone when I go to town!)
Jack is the boss--he's a 13 year old yellow lab. He tolerates Luna--she's a 6 year old boxer who has forced me to learn not to leave any food on the counter--she'll eat a loaf of bread if it's left out! And then there's Maggie--a 3 year old Golden retriever who is still part puppy, but sassy and smart! All three have loved running and playing in the snow this week!
Over the bread we have same here as counter surfer
