My dog knows which cupboard I keep the peanut butter in

And she can hear me open that cupboard ..... not any other cupboard, but the "peanut butter cupboard" ...when she's on the other side of the house .... upstairs in my son's room .... when he's playing his music. She comes running every time.

1. My last dog could hear the jar being opened from upstairs AND could read my lips

even if I whispered without any sound at all the words "peanut butter"...

I loooooove peanut butter (natural, peanuts only of course) and my pups have always been obsessed as well.

2. I think dogs and cats can sense when you think about their food.

My cats can be sound asleep in an upstairs bedroom and they will suddenly appear if I open a treat package. Either they can hear that little rustling sound or they can hear my thoughts. Spooky.

12. And they can train you!

The instant I come home from work, my dogs start acting goofy and dancing around, I usually give them a treat during these times cuz they're so dang cute. I used to think they acted that way because I was home and they were so glad to see me. But then they started doing it at other times, prompting me to give them a treat. This went on a number of times before I realized I'd been had. They can spell too! They even can anticipate the spelling....I thought only humans could anticipate! T-R... BOOM! They are at that cabinet! If you spell the entire word they lose their minds!

One in particular knows precisely when the clock strikes 6pm....dinner time. And she does not let you off the hook for any reason!

18. A friend of mine had a little Cocker Spaniel

The dog would climb up on to the back of the couch exactly five minutes before the school bus arrived bringing the kids home in the afternoon. Even with the time change. Even when the day was cloudy or sunny. She just knew. She would look out the living room window from on top of the couch and watch for the bus. She never missed it.

7. My dog, who is 16, deaf and demented

learned a new trick--by reading my mind. I let her out in her yard and then was worried that she was out for too long staring into space. She was too far to yell to so instead, I flashed the light at the top of the yard on and off to "wake" her up. Without any training, she started walking back to the house. She has continued this self-taught behavior ever since. She must have read my intention.

he proceeds to take over its duty of waking me up if I don't get up and at it immediately (he does NOT see the purpose of a snooze button)

To one of my kitties. She KNOWS my hubby should be up and about at 5:30 am.

Weekends are no exception. She makes sure he is awake....at 5:30 am. Probably because breakfast is supposed to be served at 6am.

through his tiny body. Heís a runty Cornish w a wasp waist. Iíve actually had a couple of DUers babysit him while on vacation, they can vouch for his infinite appetite.

Looked them up, amazed, delighted at seeing them. Exotic and beautiful.

Very, very interesting little fur folks.

Thanks for informing those of us who don't know yet!

35. Did you see the Cats101 video from animal planet? The featured cat in there is

Patsyís grandma! I met her in CT when she was 16 years, maybe a year after they filmed her, and she was still very active and kittenish. Cornies are ridiculously affectionate and strongly bond to humans. Itís a strong breed trait. They are rarely shy and basically insist on sleeping with you.

But Pavlov's dogs hear things we don't. Had a cat that could do the same. He also knew which bag the cantaloupe was in. You have love them. They never ever fall victim to Fox news or vote against us.
