The boog the chocolate lab

He is happy this morning, he found a old bone. Not sure how old but to the boog life is good. He came strolling in from back yard happy tail wagging. With the bone in his mouth. He dropped it in my lap for me to admire the bone covered in boog slobbers. Look man look what I have found ok man give it back. Now he is laying next to me on the patio chewing his new old bone very contented.

6. Nothing like a good bone aged awhile in the dirt

Zeus Dog dug up a large bully stick last week when my knitting group was busy chatting and knitting on the deck. Of course the recovered hunk was nasty and smelly - and one of the women was rather dismayed...She has no pets. But it kept Zeus busy and away from us.

His favorite chew though is a circle of cow femur. Local meat producer and seller at the farmers market has good bones for The Zeus to chew on and enjoy.

7. Simple pleasures!

Finely aged chew bone from the back yard makes it taste better the longer it's aged. If it smells bad, that's a plus!
