IT'S COMING FOR YOU
These guys had a zoo enclosure to keep them safe, but this is a good illustration of big cats' instinct to sneak up on your exposed back.

Mr. Tiger, practising his stalking down the embankment reminded me of a huge snake going into the water, like a python, in his fluidity, and smoothness. I would hope he was just having "fun" to break his boredom. No doubt he already knew that glass barrier would hold.
Sadly, it may turn out that zoos, maybe refined and made more livable, will become the last place on earth where wild animals will be "safe." So sad to think about this, but the human race is stealing their environments, and invading what little home they have to simply slaughter them and carry home their dead bodies as trophies.
It's really time the hunters started disappearing, instead, and land developers, lumber companies, mines, dams, etc., etc., etc.

(7,527 posts)Adorable kittens will attack your feet when you don't think they are looking. Housecats sneak up on each other for amusement and territorial negotiation. They stalk their prey in the wild and they love doing it.
Watching the video, the tiger didn't seem desperate and was blinking and patient. It appeared more like "I'mma tackle you bro!" approach out of boredom or play. But yeah, that's a BIG cat who kill you if it wants. This specimen seems to know that glass wall was there and may have enjoyed approaching close to put on a show.
(Not defending zoos just appreciating the cat's natural behavior it can at least indulge safely there.)
