I think ohiogal is correct

In wanting to start a forum on having onrey dogs. In talking with her I know she has one onrey yellow lab. As I suffer with a boog the chocolate lab mans best friend. Most recent example of mans best friend. Yesterday knucklehead got busted chewing open a bag cat food. So last night I took the bag and dumped it in a huge bowl. This morning I fill up the cats dish. And forget to put the bowl full of cat food back up on the dining room hutch. So I walk into the kitchen and a 100 pound chocolate turd is grazing out of the cat food bowl. Get your ass down from that bar now mister. So now were on back porch and Im explaining to boog once again.

Man - Dude why do you have to counter surf.

Boog - tentative wags wag sitting with his ears back.

Man - boog your a K-9 not a feline and you dont need to eat cat food.

Boog - more tentative wags then hey look man a tennis ball. You wanna throw it.

Man - boog you been tracking trumps playbook trying to distract me from the major issues.

1. LOL TEB!

Boog sure is an original!!! I guess he figures if it's good enough for cats, it's good enough for the Boog!

I know Boog probably will win this contest ....

but it would be fun to hear from other DUers what was the most maddening/ornery thing their pet ever did (or ate!)

I'll start with my Sophie who ate a $20 Bill off the kitchen counter .... we were able to piece enough of it together to take it to the bank and exchange it a new one. I will not go into detail as to where we found a few of the pieces since a few of you might be eating breakfast while you're reading this....... paper towels are another one of her culinary delights.

No cat food here unfortunately. Boog has that market cornered.

2. My pyrador, Rain loves the ducks food and their eggs.

I have to make sure I collect all eggs and leave her on porch when feeding the ducks.

She knows when she does wrong, just can't stop herself though, puppies will be puppies. This is my first Pyrador, but she seems more yellow lab than Pyrenees, papa was Pyrenees momma yellow lab.

Lately she has decided that swimming in the pond trying to catch the ducks is fun. I have my hands full with this puppy.

3. Wow, a pyrador!

We looked at some Pyr puppies right after we got our last Lab, they were the cutest balls of fluff, the owner had them in her barn with the baby goats. I have always wanted a Pyr but my husband and I aren't getting any younger and they are really huge dogs..... but they are so beautiful. I have heard that the Pyr personality is very stubborn and independent.

6. Yes, she was a cute little fluff ball. 5 months and 45 lbs, this old man

Is finally getting in shape. She is really energetic and I have to spend 3 hours minimum working with her per day. I'm retired and micro farming now so no big deal, except every chore now takes twice as long because Rain has to help, or play as it seems.

She is half and half, stubborn/wants to please, independent but needs to be with me at all times IF I am outside.

I probably should have gotten a smaller breed, but I needed something to scare the predators away.

Now I just have to get her to stop chasing the ducks when I'm not around...lol

7. That is what they are bred for

So it's no wonder they love to go after the ducks in the water!

If there are no ducks, chipmunks, squirrels, and rabbits will do!

9. When DH was a kid

His family has a huge black lab, Duke.
Duke observed my MIL opening cans to feed the cats. This was in the days before pull-top pet food cans. One day Duke got in the cupboard, found the cat food, took the cans in his very strong jaws and clamped down until he got the cans to pop open and ate the cat food. Needless to say MIL found a very high place to keep the cat food. This is family legend.
