and more the mental stimulation of having guests over for dinner, furniture shifted, routines out of whack. Our dear traumatized shelter dog gets easily stressed and intimidated by the smallest change..and he’s very wary of new people, even after almost seven years of our consistent love and spoiling. He sailed through yesterday like a champ, minus the insane barrier reactivity barking frenzy till our guests got inside the house and gave him a cookie. He is down for the count today.

he really is about 98% normal happy dog. But it took a lot of love and tears..and a little bit of Prozac..to get him there.

She barely reacted when my husband told her the paper boy was here. And she loves to say hello to him.

...my cat Molly has had a "tryptophan hangover" for the entirety of her 15-year life.

I have been convinced that, like all cats, she is 40% animal and 60% vegetable.

My dogs generally sleep most of the day, yesterday someone was playing with them from 8am - 8pm. There was always someone to throw the bone or have a tug with. They are pooped but happy pooches!
