Related: About this forumNeed help finding a new home for Elmo and Stitch!
Some of you may remember me posting about Elmo and Stitch, two 9 year old male brothers, who we adopted from the Wake County Animal Shelter in the summer of 2017. They are really affectionate kitties, well behaved with excellent litter box habits, get along well with dogs (Snowy was very happy to have kitties back in the house) and are friendly to other kitties as well. They have been indoor kitties their entire lives, and would need to go to a home where they would live only inside.
When I separated from my husband in November 2017, I took Snowy with me and Elmo and Stitch stayed with my husband. Last May he moved into a retirement home--with the kitties--but apparently his health is now declining and my sons are concerned that he is soon no longer going to be able to take care of these sweet brothers.
We need to find a new, loving home for Elmo and Stitch! My apartment complex only allows two pets/unit, and I can't separate these brothers, and I can't give up Snowy to take them. I'd be willing to bring them to a new home anywhere in North Carolina (I live in Raleigh), or meet prospective new adoptive parents in South Carolina or Virginia somewhere near the border with North Carolina.
If you know anyone who might be willing to take these sweet, senior (now 10 year old) brothers (current on all shots, both neutered, no health problems), please send me a DU mail.

(9,067 posts)I live in Los Angeles and there are postings all the time for pet adoptions in my neighborhood and a lot of people who foster or have connections help one another. It's really fantastic for that sort of thing.
