RSPCA hunt man who abandoned dog in Trentham

Hundreds of people have offered to rehome a dog that was filmed on CCTV being dumped at the side of a road.

"Millions" of people around the world have watched the "heartbreaking" video, the RSPCA animal charity said.

Vets renamed him Snoop but he is not yet available for adoption while his abandonment is being investigated.

The Staffordshire bull terrier was left with his bed at the corner of Timor Grove and Pacific Road in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent on 17 December.

still makes me cry even though he is now safe and being spoiled. I hope they catch, out, and shame forever those pieces of human garbage who abandoned him like that. I was surprised to read that police aren't investigating this incident. I guess animal cruelty not a crime in the UK.

Tearing up here.

Reminds me of a story I was told in Calif. by my blacksmith about a dog he saw that was dumped on a road corner in the country, who laid there and waited for the people to come back and get him for a week. Every time a car would stop at the corner, he would raise his head expectantly to see if it was his family. He said after a week, the dog disappeared. Since it had happened some time ago, I resisted the urge to jump all over him and ask why he didn't help the dog......

One of the ASPCA ads that always made me cry, was one with the voice over by David Ducovney. Pics of dogs in crates...., "I don't know why I'm here. I am a Good Dog".
