Our little Gypsy got spayed today

We are nervous parents but the Veterinarian assured us all went well. We pick her up soon.
We opted for laparoscopic surgery. They take just the ovaries.
It's more expensive but less heal time and pain. Besides...she's our baby.

Good on you for taking the least harmful option. I took my Pekingese Misha into the vet for supposed simple eye surgery & he gave her too much anesthesia.

I had a doctor's appointment for surgery for the next week, so when i finished I called to see how she was. They told me they were sorry, but she expired, and they would not charge me for the visit. I freaked out & called my husband away from work and had him pick her up. I had never seen him cry until he brought her home. I never went back to that vet, and found out from his receptionist after she left him and went to my new vet that he was extremely careless with small animals. He was a large animal doctor first. I had to go into Salt Lake for vet services for two years before a new vet came into our small town. It's been 28 years. and I still hold malice toward that man.

She had a tough time.
We didn't realize she was getting sick with a cold before we had it done.
She's fine now but it was bad. She got real lethargic for a few days. It scared us.
