Last week we finally found something that bothers Happy.

We took him to the vets for a booster shot. Couldn't get it done. He fought off 4 people to avoid getting that shot.

He's going back today. The vet gave us a sedative to give him (we just did) so that he'll be calmer when he gets to the office at 1:45.

He is perfectly fine, friendly and loving at home, completely freaks out at the vet. Last checkup he had the vet and the tech both wearing no-bite gloves while he howled and hissed for his checkup and shots. Never had another cat do that. His brother was fine. Vet suggested I get a tranquilizer for him before his next checkup.

come into the office. They will also come out to the car to euthanize if needed. It really is helpful for some of those patients that seem to be frightened of coming inside. I think all of the different smells produced in the vets offices heightens their fear.

Last trip to the vet, Smudge gripped the inside of the carrier so tightly we couldn't even shake him out when we turned it upside down. In the end, we had to unscrew the carrier top, all 12 bolts, to expose one very pissed off cat. Fortunately, he didn't turn violent, but it was one helluva a passive resistance.
